Should You Defer Law School for a Year?

Many law schools offer the option to defer law school enrollment.  Typically, after you are admitted to law school, you are provided with the option of a one-year deferment.  You should investigate whether the schools you are admitted to have this option, as many schools will not publicize it.  Some schools will only offer deferred enrollment if you provide a “good cause,” which can be as simple as “I want to travel for a year.”

Law Schools Pushing Early Recruiting

The Guardian Announces Its Top Places In The World To Study Law

The Guardian recently released its ranking of the  top ten places to study law in the world.
Harvard Law School topped the list, followed by two British Universities: Oxford and Cambridge.  Overall, the United States made a strong showing, with Yale, Stanford, Boalt, Columbia, and NYU placing 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 10th, respectively.
